Barry Sheerman questions the Government's "Bonfire of Bureaucracies"

On June 2nd 2010 during the Debate on the Queen's Speech, Barry Sheerman questioned the Secretary of State for Education's "Bonfire of the Bureaucracies". Mr Sheerman argued that they are not bureaucracies, but actually have an incredibly important role within education such as in the development of curriculum.
